Probably until embarrassingly late in life, to the tune of 11 or so. Yep, EMBARRASSING. I would bark, drink water out of a bowl on the floor (or milk if I was a cat), pant, do a sort of flipped upside down crab walk to run on all fours - which I was actually pretty good at.

The neighbors and i would pretend we were squirrels when we climbed the tree in the yard. Or we'd be foxes and play in the bushes. At school we'd play Unicorns and run like horses all recess (this time on two legs). I know, DORKS!

The best is when I was younger and would pretend i was a horse at home. I'd tuck a dish towel in my underwear - to emulate a tail. The fact that I never wanted to wear clothes is where the underwear tucking comes into play. Then I'd use two long wooden spoons as extensions of my front legs (arms) so I could trot around the house slightly hunched over thinking I looked really horse-like. Then one day my dad came down the hallway, stepped on a forgotten spoon leg, cracked it painfully under his foot and I got screamed at. That was the end of the spoon legs. ha ha.
