Exciting News
Mar 29, 2011 at 8:19 PM I have all but abandoned this blog and, for that, I am sorry. I am, however, going to get back to it because... wait for it, wait for it... I'm moving to LA for six months starting in June and I'm going to share every dirty detail with you!
You see, Mark and my good friend Patty are executive producers of a new television show that will be taping in New York from June to November. Instead of him getting his own apartment here, we thought it would be more fun to trade places. It's going to be like The Holiday and I get to be Kate Winslet. I'M GOING TO HAVE A CAR AND EVERYTHING. (Watch. Out.)
I'm looking forward to a change of scenery and have other friends out there besides him. Also, the movie is being released at the end of September, so it will be fun to be out there for that.
So anyway, that's what I've been up to—planning all this and getting ready for my (temporary) move. Stay tuned!

Re: The pets...
Beverly will be coming with me, but Elvis is going to stay here with Mark. He knows Mark and is comfortable with him. (He actually stayed with him for a month in Chicago when I first moved to New York.) He's 16 now and I think moving him cross country temporarily would be too difficult for him. Plus, Mark's dogs are going to be staying in LA and I don't think he'd adjust to living with them very well.

I live out in LA and love it. I am actually trying to plan my verision of "The Holiday" and go to Rome for the summer. We'll see if I can make it work out. But you will have a blast out here!

Karyn, Just a question, I know you are a published author (i'm a long time follower remember), and presume that you sold the rights to your book to be made into a movie, but how do you earn a living? Have you earnt enough from these ventures to live off and to keep you going? Have you received an advance for your next book? Do you have any other books or projects in the pipeline?

OMG!!!! that is so exciting! i am going to be a weirdo stalker reader and ask if you would wanna get togeher sometime when you get to LA. I just moved to Irvine a few months ago and i love it here.
