Help Save-A-Pet!
Sep 14, 2010 at 11:11 AM I've mentioned this before, but my mom volunteers at Save-A-Pet, a no-kill animal shelter in Illinois. Like many charities, they're currently having financial difficulties and might have to close their doors unless they receive more donations. Here's a link to a message regarding their financial situation.
If you can donate anything—even just one dollar—it would be greatly appreciated. They've been around for almost 40 years and are currently home to almost 300 animals. Here are some photos I took last time I was there:
He was my favorite, Jax. I would take him home if I could, but he needs to be the only animal in the house.
All the cats stay in the same room and have "kitty condos."
"I also only have three legs, but I'm doing fine!"
Every dog gets to go outside and play every day.
Please help if you can! Thank you!

One more thing, they're having their annual "Tuxedos for Tails" auction and dinner next month. If you have anything of value to donate that they could auction off (like, my friend David just gave them a generous package from Guitar Hero), that would be helpful too. Call 847-740-7788 if you can help. Thank you!
