Beverly Has Fleas
Aug 1, 2010 at 12:21 PM Beverly has fleas. And, of course, I'm at Mark and David's house in LA again. It's the second time she's gotten them while staying here. I don't know how it happens because their dogs never get them. Beverly is just so pretty, I guess, that the fleas want to hang out on her.
Every time we come here, something like this happens. If my dog doesn't have fleas, then I jam up the plumbing with my tampons or break the internet. (It was not funny when this happened. I couldn't connect to the internet so I started messing with the settings on their wireless network. The next thing you know no one could connect. I locked everyone out for days. They finally had to call a professional computer guy to the house to fix it.) It's turned into a bit of a game when I come visit... "What's Karyn going to do to our house this time?"
Anyway, Beverly was quarantined in the bathroom last night...
...and is going to get a flea bath this morning at 11 am.
David is doing the bedding now... (He irons the sheets!)
...and I'm going to start fumigating once Bev is out of the house.

If they have any sort of a yard, that's why she's getting fleas. they breed like crazy in the summer. Get some frontline plus and put it on her and she'll be fine in a few hours. they will all bite her and die!
Has she been to a groomer recently? I have a yorkie too, and several times he has gotten fleas from the groomer when he has gone in the summer.
Yes! She went Thursday and the I saw the fleas yesterday. I think she got them from the groomer.
I'm paranoid now since Dixie got them too last week. Little lady is going on Frontline. Is Bev on it? That's a thought. There are just so many ways they can get them I think it's worth the $$$ now... :(
