Must. Improve. Penmanship.

I carry a little notebook around with me so I can write down ideas when I get them. It would helpful if my writing was legible.

Seriously? The whole notebook looks like this.

So I... be... the...

...and that's all I got.

"So i can be something up the something that's my plan anyway"??

Can I buy a vowel?

My notetaking looks very similar!

Classic. I am a journalist and have the same problem. Up until recently I worked in a foreign country so when I translated my terrible note-taking back to English I used creative license to turn the scribbles on a page to something good. Always made them sound more intelligent though!

The culprit: too much computer. My writing has totally gone to crap also!

You can tell people that you're a Part-time Doctor, maybe? :)

It's definitely "That's the plan anyway."

"So I __ be __ of the __ . That's the plan anyway."

Maybe just use the voice notes feature on your phone?

I agree with Melisa...computer has sent my handwriting to pot. I used to have such nice penmanship. Not so much anymore. I get frustrated with how long it takes me to write something since it is so much faster to type or text. I often end up with words that have just a straight line for their last letters. Because my hand gets tired!

Hey Karyn,

I read something like this from your note:

"So I can be already (?) on the mend. That's my plan, anyway."

My handwriting sucks like yours since typing on the PC all day long, so I know what you mean. I scribble on post-its and then can't read what I wrote. Very frustrating.

What about "So I can be ahead of the lunch. That's my plan, anyway." ?

March 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMariem

So I can be ahead of the game. That's the plan anyway.

Looks like my Dad's handwriting.
I had to interview someone on the phone today and kept asking him to hold on so I could catch up. My note-taking skills are very rusty.

OMG, I have the same problem - my dad, the DOCTOR, took me aside recently and said I HAVE to improve my handwriting, that it reflects badly on me. And I just can't do any better, slowing down, writing larger doesn't help. If you can come up with a solution, I hope you'll let us know, cause I'm in!

On the other hand, no one can ever read my diary....
