Sunday at the Movies
Jan 23, 2010 at 11:03 PM My friend Sarah Grace and I are going to see either An Education or A Single Man tomorrow. Has anyone seen either one? Thoughts? (The whole sixties style of A Single Man makes me swoon. Could Julianne Moore look more amazing?)
Trailers:
PS - My friend Sarah Grace is the author of two books: Grosse Pointe Girl: Tales from a Suburban Adolescence and The Girl I Wanted to Be. She just started a new blog called the Fortunate Cookie Blog.
The mission: every Friday, I track down a new cookie, break it open, and use the words inside as my life compass. I'm committing myself to act on them, whether they impart wisdom, warnings, or just a bunch of crap about someone being trapped inside of a cookie factory (road trip, anyone?).At the very least, I'll go from hamster to guinea pig. What do I have to lose?
Or more importantly, what do I have to find?
Only time will tell.
Let's get cracking.
Isn't that fun? Please visit her and say hello!

I love the theme of her blog!! And I'm going to see both A Single Man and An Education this week -- looking forward to hearing what you think of them!
OH I saw A Signle Man. I thought it was stunning! The wardrobe is perfect. I highly recommend it.
Hi Classy Stoner! It's been so long! That's what we've decided to see.
I love the look of A Single Man but I kinda hate the movie. I mean...does every movie, play and book about gay folks have to end like that? When will gay peeps get a happy ending? boooo. xoxo
I saw them both. I liked a Single Man best. Julianne Moore was great! I wonder if she'll get an Oscar nomination?
xo Sully
I always wondered if Sarah was related to Chris?
So what did you guys end up seeing? I am feeling like a matinee might be in order on this gray Monday morning.
We saw A Single Man. It was very depressing but good!
Sigh. I'm so tired of gimmicks like your friend's fortune cookie "idea."
Single Man was pretty good, but as you now know, somewhat sad.
Karyn, THANK YOU for the link to the Goldens puppy cam. Holy cannoli, you just do not know how much you made my Monday. It sucked until I got your link. You didn't know it, but you had my back today. Thank you again!!!
Your book "Save Karyn" came out on Kindle today. So cool!
Don't forget to get your feminine empowerment on and see "An Education" as well! It is so good
I forgot to mention that A Single Man was sort of a downer. Hope that didn't ruin your movie night!
