Just watched Oprah's "Best Life Week." Need to improve myself.

I always feel like a loser when I say I love Oprah. I watched her show today for the first time in a long time, I guess because it was the first time in long time I was home at 3pm. Anyway, I was sort of stunned by how honest she was about her weight. I think any woman could feel for her on that issue. I think she's beautiful thin or heavy, but you could tell how hard she's been on herself about letting her self slip back into unhealthy habits.

I think she's right though. Women have a hard time taking care of themselves because they're always trying to take care of everyone else. As women, we should try to have a more selfish year in 2009, and love ourselves more.

PS -- I've taken up hiking since moving to Southern California, and I was told when you run into a bear or mountain lion, just don't be the slowest person in the group. ;)
