Peter Hedges

I just saw Peter Hedges. I heard he lived in my neighborhood but I've never actually seen him until today. He wrote the screenplays for some of my favorite movies including Pieces of April, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, and About a Boy. I've had a mad crush on him for ages but I think he's married. (Dangit.)

Anyway, he was standing on a corner talking to two other people. One of them had a dog, and Beverly approached it and smelled its butt.

I live such a rock n' roll lifestyle.

I loved Hugh Grant in About a Boy.

I love & own Pieces of April, and What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I also thought About a Boy was really good.
Now I have to look up more of Peter Hedge's movies.

Peter Hedges!! Yes, he grew up in West Des Moines and went to Valley High School, which is where I am from originally. He was good friends with one of my boyfriend's (at the time)friends. That is how he was able to write about Iowa in Gilbert Grape so credibly because he grew up there. That is my two cents on Peter Hedges. :)

Sorry missy, he's married.

When you write these sightings I hear Soul Coughing's song The Brooklynites playing in my head!

When I was in NYC last yea ron Memorial weekend we had Sunday brunch in Tribeca and were seated at the table right next to Hilary Swank. I was star struck. I imagine I'd be the same way if I ran into you in a restaurant or on the street.
