I dunno... I would feel as though I had to be "on" all the time in an apartment like that, and prone to dressing in a caftan and turban while holding a cigarette holder and barking that most poor fools don't know how to live, a la Auntie Mame.
Sorry, but for five grand a month, I'd rather live in Manhattan. That's way I'd be MINUTES from everything instead of a taxi/limo (no buses or subways for those kind of people) 20 minute ride.
Once I looked at a really cool little storefront way-way down on Spring Street down by the old UPS terminal, that was wedged in between two abandoned warehouses. I think it would have been a really cool place to live, but since I didn't have a job in NYC, I passed. I think I could of bought it for something insanely cheap like $200,000 or something.
Anyway- why are you looking? After buying a new divan, are you thinking of some new digs too?
