Improv Everywhere: Food Court Musical

I love this more than I loved Frozen Grand Central.

The improv group Improv Everywhere breaks into a musical at an LA shopping mall food court...

I would love to do something like this. It would be so fun! I might have mentioned this before, but one of the reasons I love New York is that you're really never too old to do anything... like, you can reinvent yourself at any time and it's perfectly acceptable. With that said, when I'm fifty years old, I'm going to start taking improv classes and try out for off-Broadway plays.

The best is the woman who spits out her food once the janitor breaks into song. When you come out to LA we have to do something like this. I'm totally in for it.

This napkin song is silly and fun. I wrote a silly, fun song too when I was 8 years old or so… it went;

“Once I had two rabbits,
Then I let them be,
When I went back the next day,
In front of my eyes were three!

Then I had three rabbits,
I didn’t want any more,
But when I peeked in,
What I had was four!

Four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine!

Then I had nine rabbits,
And I thought that was keen,
I went back the next day,
And they multiplied to fifteen!”

You get the gist of the song. Funny thing is that I remember this after 42 years or so.

But the point of this is that I broke out into song on Karyn’s blog!

So Karyn, I’m 50 and want to go to film school and make a movie. If I can do that you can take improve acting classes when you reach 50.

AND! If you EVER want to organize something like this, count me in. It looks like a lot of fun. Maybe we should get a show of hands from the local New York crowd and see if this is something everyone would enjoy doing.

they actually already did a bunch of stuff like this in NY, like the GRAND CENTRAL FREEZE, 100 shirtless guys going into A&F, NO PANTS DAY and a bunch of others... just search improv everywhere on youtube. you can join their mailing list on their website http://improveverywhere.com/ to find out about upcoming "missions" near you.

the idea of reinventing onself at any age seems so enticing. i'm 28 now but i'm going to become a fortune teller when i turn 50.

This is hysterical! My favorite was the Frozen Grand Central, but the funniest to see was the 100+ shirtless men in Abercrombie & Fitch. If you haven't seen it, I'm sure it's on Youtube!

I'm sure that song is going to get stuck in my head, and I'll end up humming it at lunch tomorrow, lol.

I flippin' love it.
I also love that the janitor kept cleaning when they were done.

OMG, so funny! I would love to do something like this, don't think they do stuff like this over here a lot.
I love that people just keep looking as if nothing's happening.
