Oct 15, 2008 at 9:35 AM My mom is coming into town for Halloween this year and we are going to my sister's house to spend it with Nora and Jack.
Nora has decided that she wants to be a sheep this year and we are going to make her outfit. I found a costumes on the internet that we can make, but nothing that I'm crazy about. Any suggestions?
PS - Jack is going to be a skeleton or a lion and we already have his costume.
PPS - In my search for a sheep, I found this ADORABLE chicken costume on Martha Stewart.

That is ADORABLE! Are those rubber gloves for the feet?? So cute...can't you convince Nora to switch farm animals??
We tried, no can do. She has her mind set on a sheep.
hmmmm have you checked the major pattern companies Like McCall's, Simplicity, Butterick, vogue, etc. usually they have farm animal costumes.
I'll try to see what I can find also.
The poor little girl has more feathers on her than a Mummer!
Oh, my goodness. I want to procreate just so that I can buy that costume for my child.
That is brilliant. I'm going to store that up for future use. I also need a Halloween costume and am completely stumped - any ideas (not sure I can pull off being a grown up chicken.)
I just googled "Shaun the Sheep" and it came up with a few things - You could get her to wear black tights and then make ears with black tights and use something white and fleecy for the rest...? Not that I have ever made a costume or have any clue.
ps I saw someone a kid dressed as a turtle recently - it was great - most of the costume was just a customised backpack.
Here are some other ideas, I especially loive the car freshener costume!

My niece won a costume contest in that Martha Stewart costume! ADORABLE! My sister used orange and yellow horizontal striped tights for the legs. Loved it!
For the sheep costume, can you buy her one piece pajamas, then attach TONS of cotton balls using a glue gun. Make her cheeks a little pink. (great, now I am thinking of the Serta Mattress Sheep :)
Dooce's daughter Leta wore that chicken costume once- it was great! You could probably find it on her site- there was a video too- soo cute!
Will you be dressing up?
That's adorable!
