Beverly The Porky Yorkie

Well, I never thought I'd say this, but Beverly turned down food this morning.

I offered the little porker a baby carrot as a reward for enduring a much-dreaded bath, but she took one look at it and took off running.

So it wasn't peanut butter (her favorite)—she's a freeloader. She should be happy with what I give her.

UPDATE: To those of you who suggested Bev might want something a bit more sophisticated than a baby carrot, she's salivating over my tuna sandwich right now, which happens to be made with tuna from a can. You'd think it's a steak the way she and Elvis are ogling it.

What do you expect. First you drench her and then you expect her to be all giddy about a baby carrot?

I think peanut butter is totally in order after the much dreaded-bath. Beverly cracks me up.

If someone offered me a baby carrot as a reward for taking a bath, I'd do the same thing as Beverly did. But a whole salad? I'd be happy and eat it.

Does Bev bathe in a 4-ft martini glass, too?

Ditto, if I am in the bath, I want champagne and chocolate.

Okay, that is so not really true, since I am the original bath whore, but I thought I would try to sound sophisticated. :)

Elvis looks so little next to Beverly, or maybe I am just used to looking at my overwieght cat.

No, he's a little bugger... maybe 6-1/2 pounds or so. Bev weighs in at 7.

Well that is still tiny. My cat weighs 15 pounds. But in my defense she was large when I got her. She actually looks allot like Elvis too.

Awwwww..Those two are sooo cute.

BTW, living in the city does Bev use a litter box or do you take her out?

My dad has a yorkie his favorite treats are green beans and carrots. It's a yorkie thing! They like veggies.

Scruffy loves baby carrots. and cucumbers. and bell peppers. My dog is a nut for crunchy veggies.

but he really goes crazy over pizza, pop tarts and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Bev and Elvis are so adorable.

I like Beverly, but I LOVE your cat. I'm falling for Elvis.

Andie, Denise... that's what I'm saying! Beverly loves veggies! Just not today, apparently.

I swear to god, Beverly is the cutest thing, I don't even know her and I love her. she's like a little person trapped in a dog's body!
